BORS 2021 is being hosted by Imperial College London on Microsoft Teams. The email address that you use to register for BORS 2021 will be added to the BORS 2021 Team allowing you to join all of the live presentation sessions, ask questions following podium presentations, chat with other attendees, and view poster presentation submissions. You can use Teams through your browser or download the app to you computer, tablet or mobile.
You should check that you are able to access Teams, while we recommend familiarising yourself with the Teams layout before the start of the conference, to get the most out of the conference. The Team will stay live for 3 months after the conference and we hope attendees will use it to network following the conference. Please note that it may take up to 48 hours to add you to the Team once you have registered for BORS 2021.
If your organisation uses Teams you will need to switch your organisation to Imperial College London to use the chat during live sessions. You can switch your organisation in Teams by clicking on your user icon at the top right. You must do this before joining the live session for chat to appear. You may need to restart Teams to refresh the list of organisations.
If your organisation does not use Teams, you can still join the BORS 2021 Team as a guest and will need to switch your organisation to Imperial College London when you sign-in to Teams.
We recommend being logged into Teams throughout the conference and joining the live presentation sessions either from your own calendar, from the calendar tab at the left hand side, if this is visible, or from the BORS 2021 Session Links tab in any of the channels.
If you use Teams regularly to navigate to the BORS 2021 Team click on the Teams icon to the left. The Team has various channels. All attendees can chat in the Café, and we hope you will use these to network along with the wonder.me room that poster sessions will be held in.
Breaks and poster sessions will be hosted using wonder.me. The link for the BORS 2021 wonder.me room will be available in Teams. As with Teams, we recommend familiarising yourself with the wonder.me layout before the start of the conference, to get the most out of the conference.
We have found that there can be issues with accessing your mic and webcam if you join the wonder.me room at the same time as you are in a Teams meeting. So we recommend that you leave any Teams meeting before joining the wonder.me room.
