British Orthopaedic Research Society

The British Orthopaedic Research Society (BORS) is a multidisciplinary association devoted to facilitating collaboration in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal research.

BORS 2023 Programme

BORS 2023 will feature several excellent keynote speakers, as well as providing a fantastic opportunity for accepted podium and poster presenters to highlight their work to a multidisciplinary audience.

Call for Abstracts

Abstract submission will close at midnight on Monday 5 June.

All accepted and presented abstracts will be included in Orthopaedic Proceedings, while podium presentations will be available through OrthoMedia.

There are several prizes available for podium and poster presentations, with prizes including a full publication fee waiver, and a 50% waiver for articles submitted to Bone & Joint Research.

Prof Fiona Gilbert will deliver the Public Lecture on Using Radiology to Identify and Treat Musculoskeletal Pathologies.

Prof Niamh Nowlan will be deliver the Presidential Lecture on Developmental Musculoskeletal Biomechanics.

The programme will include sessions from the OATech Network and the Versus Arthritis Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Therapies Centre (TE&RTC). There will also be a session by the BORS/BJR Travelling Fellows 2023 who have recently returned from their fellowship visiting research centres across North America.

The BORS AGM will be held on Tuesday 26 September, including the election of the Secretary Elect and the Treasurer Elect, and the election of two or more Trustees.

An online pre-conference educational day will take place on Friday 22 September 2023. Further details to follow soon.
